Psychologist

Dr Hannah Cocker

Hannah is an experienced Clinical Psychologist with a background in both adult and child mental health services. She currently works in a National and Specialist NHS service, where she supports young people and their families facing complex and long-standing mental health difficulties.

Central to Hannah’s approach is to create a warm, non-judgemental and compassionate space, where you feel safe and able to express yourself openly. She works in an integrative and flexible way based on a shared understanding of your difficulties.

She will work collaboratively with you to develop an individualised treatment plan based on a holistic framework that supports you to move towards meaningful change in your life. Hannah has a strong interest in trauma-informed approaches and is experienced in adapting her therapeutic practice to meet the needs of neuro-diverse individuals.

She also has a special interest in working with people experiencing substance use difficulties and has delivered teaching in this area on both master’s and doctoral courses. Hannah has received training in a number of evidence-based psychological approaches, however she predominately draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), providing treatment for individuals experiencing anxiety, low mood, post-traumatic stress disorder, sleep difficulties, emotion dysregulation and substance use problems.
