Mia is a Clinical Psychologist who has a particular interest in supporting people with the psychological impact of long-term conditions, including chronic pain, fatigue, and other health conditions that impact quality of life. She has experience working with a wide variety of adult psychological challenges, including difficulties with anxiety, low mood, emotional reactivity, perfectionism, stress, and self-criticism, as well as supporting people to make sense of neurodevelopmental diagnoses such as ASD and ADHD (and specifically how they interact with other physical and mental health conditions).
Mia uses an integrative approach to therapy, and tailors her interventions to the needs of each person. This may include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Breath-work (with biofeedback), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and compassion-focused approaches.
Mia likes to bring humour, warmth, and authenticity to her interactions both in and out of the therapy room. She believes in providing the very best for her clients, and seeks to empower them with the framework and skills to manage what life throws at them.
