Dr Hetashi Bawa is a Clinical Psychologist with experience across NHS settings for children, young people, and adults within London. Hetashi has a particular interest in the mind-body interaction and brings extensive experience from working in NHS Paediatric Psychology Services. When working with children who have long-term health conditions, Hetashi offers compassionate psychological support to help with adjustment to a diagnosis or ongoing symptoms, and to navigate a sense of self beyond a health condition. She also offers psychological support to family members who form part of a child’s support network.
In her private work, Hetashi supports young people and adults to develop a meaningful understanding of their difficulties and how these experiences impact what matters most to them. She works with individuals living with health conditions, as well as those seeking support for anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, traumatic stress, relationships and connections, or life transitions.
Hetashi offers a non-judgmental and collaborative therapeutic space, tailoring psychological therapy to each client and their individual goals. With an integrative approach to therapy, her work draws upon the following evidence-based approaches: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Systemic Practice.
