Travel and Accessibility Questions
Is parking available?
Public parking is not available in Lion Yard itself, however pay and display parking is available on local residential streets and is free after 6.30pm and on weekends.
What are the public transport options?
Our closest tube stations are Clapham North and Clapham Common stations on the Northern Line. We are also very close to Clapham High Street overground station and well served by a number of bus routes running along Clapham High Street.
Is the building accessible?
Unfortunately our building is spread over four floors and stairs are required to access all facilities. Access to the studio requires climbing three flights of stairs and therefore may not be appropriate for individuals with accessibility requirements. Psychologists are able to offer sessions online for those who might struggle with access. To discuss your specific needs please contact us and we would be happy to help and advise.
Studio / Class Questions
How do I prepare for a class and what should I bring?
Please wear comfortable clothing you can move and relax in. We will ask you to remove your shoes at the back of the studio so please wear socks or bring a pair with you to wear within the studio. We provide mats, blankets, cushions, and other props. Aim to arrive no later than 5 minutes early to settle in before the session begins. We do not have changing rooms so we recommend arriving in the clothes you wish to wear, however you can change in our bathrooms if needed.
Do I need experience to join a class?
No experience is needed, our classes are beginner-friendly with options and modifications provided so everyone can move at their own pace.
What should I expect in a class?
Expect a calm, welcoming environment with restorative, gentle practices such as slow yoga, meditation, breathwork and sound healing. We are not a fast-paced or fitness-oriented yoga studio — you won’t find dynamic styles like vinyasa or power yoga here. Instead, our sessions are designed to help you slow down, reconnect, and rest. The atmosphere is relaxed and non-judgmental — just come as you are.
What if I’m late?
To maintain the peaceful atmosphere, we ask that you arrive on time. If you arrive late, we may not be able to admit you once the class has started.
Can I come if I’m pregnant or have an injury?
Our regular scheduled classes are gentle and adaptable, and our teachers can offer modifications to suit your needs safely. Please let our teachers know at the start of the class or reach out to us in advance to ask any questions about your specific needs. There may be some more energising breathwork approaches we use during workshops such as Conscious Connected Breathwork that may not be suitable for certain conditions and in pregnancy. This will be flagged in the workshop description and please feel free to contact us to enquire if you are unsure if it will be suitable.
Do you offer private sessions or events?
Yes—we offer bespoke private sessions and events tailored to your group. These can be in a range of approaches such as yoga, meditation, breathwork and sound healing.Â
Do you hire out the studio?
Yes, we offer private hire for calm, intimate events and filming sessions. Visit our studio hire page for details on availability and rates.
What is your cancellation policy for classes?
Cancellations made at least 12 hours before class start time receive full credit back to your account. Late cancellations (less than 12 hours) or no-shows result in the class credit being forfeited.
